Is there radiation in photovoltaic power generation systems?
It is a photovoltaic system composed of solar panel arrays, inverters, and other electrical hardware. A photovoltaic (PV) system consists of one or more solar panels combined with inverters and other electrical and mechanical hardware that use solar power generation.
We divide radiation into two categories: ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation.
Ionizing radiation is a kind of high-energy radiation, which can damage human physiological tissue and cause harm to human body, but this harm generally has a cumulative effect. Non-ionizing radiation, on the other hand, does not reach the energy of fissionable molecules, primarily through its thermal effect on the irradiated object. The radiative effect of electromagnetic radiation generated by radio waves generally requires only a thermal effect, but it does not break the molecular bonds of living organisms.
I want to talk about my opinion and why:
First of all, the reason I think it has no radiation is that the only radiation emitted by photovoltaic panels is visible light, and the visible light it emits is actually the same as the sunlight it absorbs to generate electricity, and photovoltaic panels do not emit any ionizing radiation, and secondly the photons absorbed by photovoltaic panels and the photons that make up sunlight are the same. In fact, photovoltaic panels can also help reduce the amount of ionizing radiation exposure, and they can also be used to replace conventional energy sources.
You can also change the reason or idea to think about it, if the photovoltaic power generation system really has radiation, then why there are so many people in various industries, in various places in use? Why are they raving about it? You can think about it, in fact, this system really helps people a lot, a lot of power generation places need them, especially factories and power plants people need it, with photovoltaic power generation systems on the roof or anywhere else there is no need for people, people can also not so hard to climb on the roof or other places, So I personally think it's very convenient for humans.
This is actually the same concept as using the sun to generate electricity. First, sunlight is a non-ionizing radiation, which means it doesn't have enough energy to break chemical bonds or damage DNA. Second, although exposure to excessive amounts of non-ionizing radiation can cause skin burns or cataracts, the amount of non-ionizing radiation it emits is particularly small and basically poses no health hazard. So the photovoltaic power generation system has no radiation.
It can even be used to replace traditional energy sources, such as gas-fired power plants, coal-fired power plants, which are very much in need of photovoltaic power generation systems, because the traditional power generation energy in the operation process it will release harmful radioactive isotopes or radioactive gases and other harmful substances, so the traditional power generation energy will be more dangerous, and harmful to the human body.
In general, photovoltaic power generation is a clean and safe way to generate electricity. It also does not produce any toxic and harmful radiation, and can even help reduce the amount of ionizing radiation exposure, and is friendly, helpful, and convenient for humans.
